WINTER PARK, Fla. – Sophomore
Salma Djoubri won both her doubles and singles matches to highlight seventh-ranked Lynn women's tennis' 6-1 win over Rollins, Thursday. The Fighting Knights are now 8-1 overall and 3-1 in the SSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Graduate
Deniza Marcinkevica and junior
Greta Schieroni opened doubles with a 6-0 shutout of Polina Ligay and Polina Vlasova
- Djoubri and sophomore
Dolores Molina picked up the second doubles victory with a 6-1 win over Katie Groves and Eve Wasil to secure the first team point
- Djoubri opened singles action with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Vlasova
- She is now 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the SSC in singles
- Schieroni earned a 6-4, 6-1 win over Groves in the third flight
- She is now 4-3 in singles
- Sophomore
Kristen Younes defeated Ligay, 6-3, 7-5 in the fourth flight
- Younes is 7-1 in singles play and 3-1 in the league
- Sophomore
Jade Marie and junior
Zofia Podbiol closed the match with wins in the fifth and sixth flight, respectively
- Marie beat Milla Falster, 6-4, 6-3 and she is now 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the SSC
- Podbiol got past Nina Mitrofanova with a 6-4, 6-2 win
