MELBOURNE, Fla. – Morgan Simpson registered four of Lynn's 15 hits as the Fighting Knights dropped a doubleheader at Florida Tech, Friday afternoon. The Fighting Knights are 5-15 overall and 1-7 in the league after losing 3-1 and 8-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1):
- Neither team scored in the first two innings before Lynn plated a solo run in the third for a 1-0 cushion

Olivia Lovins led off the third with a single to left center and she advanced to second on a ground out from Simpson
- The third batter of the inning,
Kyra Sunga, singled through the left side that scored Lovins
- The Panthers scored their three runs in the fourth frame when Mya Ogbodiewgu smacked a three-run home run over the left center fence
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Sunga finished with two hits and an RBI, while Lovins finished with two hits

- Lynn scored first in the nightcap when Simpson led off with a single to second base
- She stole second and took third on a sacrifice bunt from

- Miranda Schwartz doubled to left center that plated two runs in the home half of the first for a 2-1 lead for the hosts
- The Fighting Knights added a single run in the top of the second

Cameron Buzzell was hit by a pitch to lead off and made it to third following a walk and ground out
- She scored when Lovins grounded out to second base
- Tech surged to a 5-2 advantage with three runs in the third highlighted by a double down the left field line
- Lynn continued its one-run innings in the fourth and fifth
- Rego led off the fourth with a single and swiped second with a stolen base

- Simpson led off the fifth with a single and made it to third on back-to-back walks from the Panther pitching staff
- Sunga smacked a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Simpson that pulled Lynn to within 5-4
- The Panthers extended their lead to 7-4 following a pair of runs in the fifth and set the final at 8-4 following an RBI single in the sixth
