MIAMI, Fla. – The Lynn University men's and women's track teams posted four wins and several school records and PRs at the St. Thomas Under the Lights meet, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Men):
- The men's 4x400 relay squad of freshman
Robert LeBrun, senior
Collin Clark, freshman
Denzel Rigaud and senior
Philip Henderson posted a school record and first place with a time of 3:17.56
- Rigaud won the 400 with a time of 50.88, while senior
Luke Sweatman followed in 4th place with a 52.47
- Sophomore
Netsanet Collins placed 7th in the 800 with the time of 2:07.05, while freshman
Omar Davis followed in 8th place with the time of 2:18.14
- Sophomore
Paul Mosley took the win in the 100 with a time of 10.48
- Mosley later earned the win in the 200 with a school record time of 21.23
- Mosley's time in the 200 qualifies him for the NCAA Championships
- Lebrun took sixth place in the 200 with a time of 22.49, while Rigaud followed in 10th place with a time of 23.13
- Sophomore
Renzo Almeida was first in the 5,000 (16:14.48)
HOW IT HAPPENED (Women):
- The women's 4x100 relay squad of senior
Tawnee Madden, graduate
Hannah Simon, junior
Makayla Lewis and sophomore
Zoey Bishop took second place and broke the school record with a time of 52.32
- Senior
Blair Vignes captured second in the 1,500 with the time of 5:04.87, freshmen
Skyler Gillett finished 4th with a 5:07.60 while freshman
Lindsey Byer was fifth at 5:20.22
- Junior
Brooke Mullins took second place with a time of 2:21.79 in the 800
- Vignes was fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:29.57
- The 4x400 relay squad of Mullins, senior
Lily Koch, graduate
Shaleiya Lee and freshman Davyn Dreibelbis took second place with a time of 4:12.95
- Lewis earned third in the 100 with a time of 12.39
- Lewis also set the school record and took runner-up in the 200 with a time of 25.69
- Madden followed in sixth place in the 200 at 27.84
- Dreibelbis took 9th place with a time of 1:07.53 in the 400
