Deniza Marcinkevica and sophomore
Jade Marie each won both their doubles and singles matches to help lift the eighth-ranked Lynn University women's tennis team to a narrow 4-3 win over No. 2 Keiser, Tuesday.
The Fighting Knights are now 11-2 overall this season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Marcinkevica and Marie won No. 1 doubles over Violet Apisah and Patricia Apisah, 6-2
- Sophomore
Salma Djoubri and junior
Greta Schieroni took No. 2 doubles, 6-3, over Katie Visnevscaia and Vanja Vidanovic
- The duo is now 8-1 in doubles this season, including a 7-1 mark in the second flight
- Marcinkevica opened singles with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Yeva Kononovych in the second flight
- She now has three singles wins this spring
- Marie rallied for a win in the fourth flight 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 over Patricia Apisah
- She is 9-2 in singles and 3-1 at No. 4
- Sophomore
Kristen Younes helped seal the win with a 6-1, 6-3 defeat of Vidanovic at No. 5 singles
- Younes is now 10-2 in singles
- No. 1 ranked
Salma Djoubri suffered a 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 loss to No. 3 Violet Apisah in the top flight
