ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Lynn University men's lacrosse team took a 10-1 lead in the first half and never looked back on its way to 16-5 victory over Quincy, Saturday afternoon. The win evens the Fighting Knights record 2-2 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn outshot QU (47-30) and had more shots on goal (32-22)
- The Fighting Knights finished 27-of-28 clears and caused nine turnovers
- The Fighting Knights never lost the lead throughout the entire game
- Lynn opened the scoring with a 2-0 lead at 12:31 with graduate student

- QU scored 30 seconds later to narrow it to 2-1

Scott Friant scored a goal at 9:11 and assisted the next goal at 7:51 to make it 4-1

Edward Downey at 3:49 to set the score at 10-1 at the half
- The Fighting Knights had 20 shots on goal in the first half
- In the third quarter, Houston scored the Fighting Knights 11th goal with 13:36 to play
- Quincy shorted the gap to 11-5 with 7:09 on the clock in the third

Fisher Williams closed the quarter with a goal each for a 13-5 edge
- Hoskins opened the scoring in the fourth quarter (13:31) with his second tally to make it 14-5

Mitch Rini scored the final two goals of the game (9:07 and 2:22) for Lynn to set the final at 16-5
