BOCA RATON, Fla. – Freshman
Trinity Mocadlo scored 20 points as Lynn University closed its regular season with a 68-58 victory over Embry-Riddle on Senior Day, Saturday. The Fighting Knights finish the year at 14-14 and 9-11 in the SSC. With the win, Lynn clinched the #6 seed in the SSC Tournament and will once again face Embry-Riddle, who is the number three seed, on Tuesday at 5:30 pm in Daytona Beach.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn outscored the Eagles 30-29 over the first two quarters
- The Fighting Knights outscored the visitors 19-4 in the third quarter
- The Eagles narrowed the final deficit by outscoring Lynn 25-19 in the final frame
- The Fighting Knights made 21 baskets and seven three-pointers, but it was a 19-of-23 (82.6%) effort from the foul line that made the difference
- The game featured just four lead changes and two ties

Marianna Klavina hit a three-pointer at 4:03 as Lynn grabbed a 13-12 lead
- Mocadlo later connected on a three-pointer for a 20-12 lead late in the opening frame

Taylor Boruff drained a three to stretch the lead back to eight, 26-18 with 8:17 left in the half

Carly Stroemel's jumpshot with 5:25 left in the second quarter pushed the score to 28-20
- Embry-Riddle went on a 9-0 run over the next 4:11 to take a 29-28 lead

Makayla Hemingway sank both free throws to give Lynn a 30-29 lead before the half

Bella Sparaco's layup gave the Fighting Knights a 35-31 lead
- Lynn then went on a 12-0 run, capped off by Stroemel's layup

Ella Fiore closed out the quarter with a layup to make the score 49-33 in favor of Lynn

Rachel Romich started off the quarter with a three for the Fighting Knights before Stroemel's layup gave Lynn its largest lead of the night, 54-35
- Klavina sank one of her two free throws to give Lynn a 12-point lead with 1:11 remaining
- Embry-Riddle brought the lead within single digits after a three-pointer from Kyra Haan
- Klavina, Mocadlo, and Romich all made both their free throws making the score 64-54
- Romich made both free throws to close out the match for a 10-point victory
FIGHTING KNIGHTS STATS:
- Mocadlo finished with a season-high 20 points, her third straight double-digit scoring game
- Stroemel posted her second double-digit rebound game of the year with 10 boards
- Three Fighting Knights scored in double digits
- The Fighting Knights shot 41% from the field (21-51), 30% from three (7-23) and 83% from the free throw line (19-23)
