BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University men's lacrosse team used a five-goal third quarter to power past SUNY Maritime, 11-4, in the home opener for the Fighting Knights, Wednesday. Lynn is now 3-4 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn scored four goals in the second quarter and led 5-3 at intermission
- The five-goal third quarter sealed the win
- The hosts outshot the Privateers 54-24 and held a 34-33 edge in ground balls
- Lynn also forced 13 turnovers and both teams won nine faceoffs
- Maritime led 2-1 after the first quarter and held a 3-2 lead early in the second frame
- Lynn adjusted and scored nine-straight goals for an 11-3 cushion late in the fourth

Brian Hoskins scored an unassisted tally with 6:30 showing in the second that kick started the run

Joseph Michalski scored to close the half as Lynn led 5-3

Connor Houston each scored a goal inside the first five minutes of the third quarter for an 8-3 advantage

Joe Putnam scored Lynn's final goal with 1: 17 to play in the fourth
