BOCA RATON, Fla. – Graduate
Brian Hoskins totaled six points and the Lynn University men's lacrosse team shook off a slow first quarter for an 11-9 win over visiting Florida Tech, Saturday afternoon. Lynn improves to 5-8 overall on the season and is now in a four-way tie for fourth place in the SSC standings with one regular-season game to go.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn outshot the Panthers 43-36 and Tech keeper Jax Francisco made 19 saves to help keep his club in the game
- The Fighting Knights won 17-of-24 faceoffs, scooped up 29 ground balls and finished 3-of-4 on extra-man opportunities
- Junior
Camren Santos helped set the tone for Lynn with all 17 faceoff wins
- Tech had a run of three-straight goals in the first for a 4-2 cushion after 15 minutes of play
- Lynn outscored Florida Tech 9-5 over the remaining three quarters
- Sophomore
Connor Zombro closed the first quarter with a goal and Lynn scored the first three goals in the second for a 5-4 lead at 5:16
- Tech tied things at 5-5 just before halftime but Lynn answered with a 3-0 scoring jolt to open the second half

Thomas Murray (8:21) and junior
Connor Houston (6:56) each scored as Lynn led 8-5
- Tech again tied things at eight as it closed the third with two goals and opened the fourth with another
- Michalski found the net at 11:23 and Hoskins gave Lynn a 10-8 lead with a score at 6:50
- The Panthers scored at 6:23, but Hoskins sealed the victory with a goal at 2:37
- Seventeen Lynn seniors were recognized prior to the opening faceoff
