KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC has announced the recipients of the 2023-24 Team Academic Excellence Awards and Honors Court and Lynn University was among the schools honored for its high achievements in the classroom.
 
The Fighting Knights posted a team GPA of 3.19 to garner the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
 
Individually, graduate Ben Gahlert (4.0 GPA - Communications and Media), senior Mason Schwaber (3.23 GPA - Sports Management) and graduate Brad McCabe (3.75 GPA - MBA) were also named to the Honors Court.
 
The Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes all men's basketball programs with a 3.0 GPA or higher during the 2023-24 academic year, while the Honors Court includes juniors, seniors and graduate students with a 3.2 GPA or higher in '23-24.
 
On the court, the Fighting Knights finished the season at 17-11 overall with an appearance in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament semifinals.
