No. 2 Lynn cruises to 6-1 win at Tusculum

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – No. 2 Lynn men's soccer succeeded in its first road test of the 2024 season, defeating Tusculum 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon. Max Lambertz scored two goals in the route as the Fighting Knights improved to 4-0 in 2024.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights scored two goals within the first six minutes of the match
- Lynn was awarded a penalty kick after a Tusculum foul and Lambertz buried his shot for a 1-0 Fighitng Knight lead at the 4:37 mark
- Just 35 seconds later, Luan Rennstich scored to give Lynn a 2-0 advantage
- The Pioneers responded with a goal at 18:05
- In the 27th minute, Fabian Vyhnalek took a pass from Luis Kiefer and scored to give Lynn a 3-1 advantage
- Dominik N'gatie added a pair of shots as the Fighting Knights took a two-goal lead to the half
- Lambertz struck again with his second goal of the match in the 54th minute
- Luan Barroso Rennstich and Vyhnalek picked up assists on the Lambertz goal
- Fynn Friedrichs kept the pressure going with a shot on goal in the 59th minute
- Lynn took a 5-1 lead in the 78th minute
- Tony Gomez scored to extend the lead to four with passes from Fabio Menzel and Joao Negrao
- In the 89th minute, Lynn topped off the win with a goal by Ethan Henderson with assists going to Seldon and Max Werner
 
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn scored its most goals in a game since Sept. 5, 2019, 6-1 win over Florida Memorial
- The Fighting Knights outshot Tusculum 16-4, including a 9-1 advantage in the second half
- Nine different Fighting Knights registered a point

- Lambertz leads the team with four goals in 2024
