BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn women's soccer opened its conference competition with a 2-2 draw against Florida Southern, Saturday night.
Emma Geiges and
Juliana Torres each scored to give Lynn a 2-0 lead, but Florida Southern evened the match with goals in the 62nd and 68th minute. Lynn is now 2-2-1 in 2024.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn's first shot of the match found the back of the net
- After Torres and Kiana Rhee-Osario made give-and-go passes, Torres centered a ball to the net and Geiges deflected it over the FSC goalie to give Lynn a 1-0 lead, 21 minutes in the game
-The Fighting Knights created two more chances with shots from
Riley Casey and
Addison Crone with 10 minutes left in the half
- Torres was fed a through ball into the penalty area by
Kira Adkins
- She took a touch and finessed the ball around the keeper on her left foot to make it 2-0 for the Fighting Knights with 56:36 minutes on the clock
- That was Lynn's first shot of the second half
- Florida Southern got one back at the 61:25 mark
- Six minutes later, the Mocs scored the equalizer from a corner kick
