SAINT LEO, Fla. – Lynn outscored Saint Leo 37-27 in the second half and overcame a 12-point deficit for a 67-65 road win on Wednesday night.
Jess Knight made eight of her 10 field goal attempts to lead the Fighting Knights with 18 points in the victory.
The Blue and White are now 10-7 overall and 4-6 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Mocadlo's jumper tied the game at 12 just over halfway through the first quarter

Makayla Hemingway and
Kaitlyn Parker scored the final field goals of the quarter as Lynn trailed 21-18 after 10 minutes
- Knight scored six of Lynn's first eight points of the second quarter
- The Blue and White trailed by eight at the half
- The Lions took their largest lead at 12, 47-35, with 6:23 left in the third quarter

Rachel Romich's layup and Mocadlo's three-pointer cut the deficit to seven
- Knight scored four points during a 6-0 Lynn run to bring Lynn within three, 49-46
- Chappell's three brought the margin to four heading into the final frame
- The Blue and White started the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run on layups by Mocadlo and Knight, along with a three by Hemingway
- Hemingway again gave Lynn the lead with a three, 62-60, with 3:29 left in regulation
- Knight turned to the middle of the lane and hit a contested shot to give the Fighting Knights a 64-62 advantage
- Saint Leo missed its next two three-point attempts and Romich's steal led to two made free throws by Montelbano for a 66-62 score with 20 seconds left
- A Lions three made the score 66-65 and Knight made one of two from the line for a 66-64 Lynn lead with 10 seconds remaining
- Saint Leo nearly banked in a three in its final attempt but the Fighting Knights held on for the two-point victory
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn held the advantage in points off turnovers (21-11), points in the paint (42-20) and fast break points (14-6)
- Lynn shot 60% in the fourth quarter while Saint Leo was held to 36%
- Knight and Hemingway combined for 12 of Lynn's 18 fourth quarter points
- Mocadlo has scored in double figures in seven of her last 10 contests
- Chappell made both of her three-point attempts to raise her season 3FG% to 38.8
- Romich swiped a season-high four steals, her most since recording six steals against PBA on 2/16/2022
