FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla- Despite a valiant effort, the Lynn men's basketball team dropped a 104-88 decision on the road to No. 3 Nova Southeastern Wednesday evening.
Leo Beath led the Blue and White with 26 points while
Osei Price recorded a season-high 22 points in the contest.

Lynn fell to 13-5 overall on the year and dropped to 8-4 in the Sunshine State Conference. The Fighting Knights currently sit at fourth in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Carson Smith opened the scoring on a quick layup within the first 10 seconds of play, putting Lynn up early 2-0.
- NSU stormed back on a 10-0 run to take the lead with under 17 minutes to play in the half, 10-2.
- Jordan Wilkins dropped in back-to-back three-pointers to cut the Sharks' lead to just two, 10-8.
- A timely three from Price left NSU up by one, 12-11.
- An "and-one" play from Beath on a layup tied the contest at 14-14 following a successful free-throw attempt.
- Price hit another timely three to keep the contest knotted up at 19-19 with 12:36 remaining in the first half.
- The Sharks took advantage of an 8-4 run to go up 29-23 with 11 minutes remaining in the period.
- Beath sank a shot from beyond the arc before Price found the basket on a layup to tie the game up again, 29-29.
- Back-to-back jumpers from NSU kicked off a 9-3 run in favor of the Sharks, 38-32.
- A pair of free-throws from Sveinn Birgisson later brought Lynn within two of NSU's 42-40 lead.
- Price broke up a two-minute scoring drought for the Fighting Knights on a layup as Nova Southeastern led by seven, 49-42.
- NSU took a 10-point lead at 58-48 before Price dropped in a mid-range jumper before halftime as the Sharks led, 58-50.
- The Sharks came out of the break on a 6-3 run to go back up by double-digits, 64-53.
- A pull-up jumper from Beath cut NSU's lead back to six with 15 left to play, 66-60.
- A pair of free-throws from Beath broke up a three-minute scoring drought for the Fighting Knights, 73-62.
- Being down by as much as 17, the Blue and White battled back on a 13-2 run, capped off by a three-pointer from Wilkins to bring Lynn back into the fight, 81-75.
- A 7-0 run by the Sharks put Nova Southeastern back up by 13 with a little over five minutes left in the game, 88-75.
- Beath cut the Sharks' run short with a three-pointer to make the contest a 10-point game, 88-78.
- The Sharks ended the game on a 16-10 run to capture the 104-88 victory over Lynn.

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn had three players record over 20 points in Wednesday's game (Beath-26, Price-22, Wilkins-21)
- Birgisson and Smith each tallied six assists in the game.
- Price had his best offensive game of the season, recording a season-high 22 points on a season-best four three-pointers. He also went a perfect 2-2 at the line.
- Beath went a perfect 7-7 from the charity stripe.
- Wilkins hit a season-best seven three-pointers in Wednesday evening's contest.
- Smith tallied his eighth game in a row with double-digit points (11 points), scoring over 10 points in 17 of 18 games this season.
