Lynn rolls to 15-point win behind Beath’s 29 points and 18 rebounds

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn men's basketball improved to 14-5 overall and 9-4 in the Sunshine State Conference with an 84-69 win over Tampa on Saturday afternoon. Leo Beath posted a game-high 29 points and 18 rebounds, leading the Fighting Knights to their 11th win in the last 13 contests.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Beath started the game with a three just nine seconds in
- Osei Price grabbed an offensive board and found Jordan Wilkins for a three to give the Fighting Knights a 13-9 lead
- Price and Beath hit back-to-back three-pointers as Lynn's lead reached double digits, 27-17
- Lynn led by as many as 12 points before Tampa closed the half on an 18-6 run to tie the game at 41
- The Spartans opened the half with a three-pointer to take the lead
- The Fighting Knights followed with an 13-0 run, highlighted by six Beath points, including a dunk to finish the surge
- Tampa battled back to within five, 54-59, with 13:48 remaining in regulation
- Led by four Carson Smith points, a 7-0 Lynn run again pushed the Fighting Knight lead to 12
- Jordan Wilkins knocked down a three, assisted by Austin Vick, for a 71-58 Lynn advantage
- Sveinn Birgisson's inside bucket and two free throws by Beath gave Lynn a 75-61 lead with 4:36 showing on the clock
- The Blue and White led by as many as 18 before an 84-69 final

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Beath is averaging 27.3 points over his last three games and is shooting 61% (11-for-18) from three over his last four contests
- Smith and Wilkins each added 15 points
- Birgisson added three steals to lead the Fighting Knights
- Price was 3-for-6 from beyond the arc
