N’gatie scores twice in road victory against Saint Leo, 2-0

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Lynn University men's soccer team secured a 2-0 road win over Saint Leo in Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday night. Dominik N'gatie notched his third brace of the season, bringing his total to eight goals in 2025. 

The Fighting Knights improve to 8-0-1 overall and 4-0-1 in SSC action.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
- N'gatie opened the scoring just 4:44 into the match with a low shot, after a cross from Thiago De Carvalho, 1-0 
- Robin Muenst nearly doubled the lead in the 12th minute with a low shot toward the bottom-left corner, but the Saint Leo keeper made the save, deflecting it out for a throw-in 
- Two minutes later, Luan Barroso Rennstich saw his attempt blocked by the Lions' defense 
- In the 26th minute, Lynn produced back-to-back chances from Muenst and Joao Pinto, though both efforts went off target 
- Saint Leo managed a shot in the 39th minute but it drifted wide to end the half 
- De Carvalho came close to scoring in the 70th minute with a powerful strike down the middle that forced a strong save 
- N'gatie sealed the victory in the 78th minute, slotting home his second goal of the night off a low cross from Barroso Rennstich into the bottom-right corner, 2-0 

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- N'gatie is second in the SSC with eight total goals this season
- Luca Clavero recorded his fifth shutout of the season and the 30th of his career
- The Fighting Knights have dominated offensively, outshooting their opponents in every game this season by a combined 111-57 margin
- Lynn is 8-0-1 against Saint Leo since 2016
