BOCA RATON, Fla. - The No. 7 Lynn men's soccer team earned a thrilling 2-1 victory over No. 17 Florida Tech on Wednesday night at Bobby Campbell Stadium in Sunshine State Conference play.
Robin Muenst opened the scoring, while
Marc Ehmann's soaring header sealed the win for the Fighting Knights - his first goal of the season.
The Blue and White return to the win column and now hold a record of 10-2-1 overall and 6-2-1 in SSC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn created three early chances, beginning with a shot from
Fynn Friedrichs 8:04 into the match
- Shortly after,
Fabian Vyhnalek's attempt was saved and Thiago De Carvalho's rebound struck the post
- Goalkeeper
Luca Clavero made his first save in the 15th minute and stopped another effort directed toward the center of goal in the 20th minute
- The Fighting Knights capitalized in the 30th minute to take a 1-0 lead
- Vyhnalek drew three defenders before playing a pass wide to
Luan Barroso Rennstich, who found Muenst for a sliding left-footed finish in front of goal
- The Panthers leveled the score ten minutes into the second half on a penalty kick, 1-1
- Ehmann registered a shot on a corner kick in the 57th minute
- A foul just outside the box resulted in a free kick opportunity for Lynn
- Muenst's delivery was headed home by Ehmann to restore a 2-1 Lynn advantage with 25:11 remaining
- Muenst forced another save just seven minutes later

Junior Smith's left-footed strike hit the post in the 74th minute, marking Lynn's second shot off the woodwork
- Clavero made his final stop of the match in the 83rd minute
- Florida Tech managed one last attempt with three seconds left, but it was credited as a team save as time expired
