ORLANDO, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced its 2025 men's soccer all-conference awards on Thursday, and nine Lynn Fighting Knights were recognized for their outstanding seasons.
FIGHTING KNIGHT HONOREES
Offensive Player of the Year: Dominik N'gatie
N'gatie carried his postseason momentum from 2024 into another standout campaign, scoring 12 goals with two assists in 13 games in 2025. The junior from Munich, Germany led the SSC in goals per game (0.923) and points per game (2.00), while his nine goals in conference play also topped the league. He tallied five multi-goal performances, including three straight SSC matches from Oct. 11–18. N'gatie becomes the fifth Fighting Knight to earn Offensive Player of the Year honors and the first since Jack Watson in 2016.
Freshman of the Year: Thiago De Carvalho
De Carvalho made an immediate impact in his debut season, starting 13 matches and playing nearly 1,000 minutes. The defender from Umuarama, Brazil contributed assists in wins over Mississippi College, Florida Southern, and Saint Leo while anchoring a back line that has allowed just 138 shots (9.2 per game) and 14 goals (0.93 per game) in 15 matches. De Carvalho is the fifth Lynn player to win Freshman of the Year and the first since Jason Sangha in 2011.
All-SSC Teams
Lynn matched last year's total with eight selections to the All-SSC Teams.
Joining N'gatie on the First Team is midfielder
Robin Muenst, a graduate student from Stuttgart, Germany. Muenst scored six goals and led the SSC with eight assists in 2025. His 20 points ranked fourth in the league, highlighted by a hat trick in a 4-0 win over Eckerd on Nov. 1.
Five Fighting Knights earned Second Team honors — midfielders
Fabian Vyhnalek and
Luan Barroso Rennstich, defenders
Marc Ehmann and
Anton Mand, and goalkeeper
Luca Clavero. Vyhnalek ranked third in the SSC with six assists to go along with one goal. Barroso Rennstich scored in three straight conference matches and totaled 11 points. Ehmann has played nearly every minute this season and delivered game-winning goals in each of the final two regular-season contests. Mand has played every minute for head coach
John Rootes, serving as a steady presence on the back line. Clavero continued his stellar career with a 12-1-1 record, a 0.72 goals-against average, and a career-best .811 save percentage. The recognition marks the third All-SSC honor of Clavero's career, while Vyhnalek, Barroso Rennstich, and Mand each earned all-conference status for the second consecutive season.
Rounding out Lynn's honorees, graduate student
