BOCA RATON, Fla. - Lynn men's basketball delivered a historic offensive showcase on Wednesday night, shattering multiple program records in a 128-73 rout of Trinity College of Florida at the de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center. The Fighting Knights surpassed the previous single-game scoring mark of 120 points set in 1997, while also setting new program records for field-goal attempts (102), three-point attempts (55) and rebounds (71).
Â
All 16 Lynn players who saw the floor scored, led by a game-high 24 points from
Max Polk, 20 points in just 16 minutes from graduate guard
Justin Bubak, and double-doubles from
Matthew Puodziukaitis (12 points, 13 boards) and
John Roland (14 points, 12 rebounds), as the Blue and White dominated the glass and poured in 73 second-half points to cruise to the non-conference victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn blitzed out of the gates behind
Justin Bubak, as the graduate guard buried back-to-back threes on the first two possessions and
Matthew Puodziukaitis followed with a tip-in for an early 8-0 cushion
- After Trinity answered with a pair of mid-range jumpers,
Max Polk attacked downhill for an and-one layup and
Sveinn Birgisson knocked down two free throws to push the margin into double digits at 15-6
- The Fighting Knights' depth took over midway through the half as
Frederiks Meinarts scored at the rim,
JP Baron drilled a transition three and
John Roland converted a fastbreak layup to cap a 10-0 surge and make it 24-9
- Lynn continued to roll from deep with
Noah Kattan splashing a three from the right wing and Roland tipping in a miss, while Puodziukaitis controlled the glass on both ends to extend the lead to 29-11
- Polk re-entered and immediately canned a three from the top of the key, then found
Antoine Jacks for a pull-up and Birgisson for a late layup as the Blue and White closed the half on a 12-3 stretch to take a 55-32 advantage into the locker room
- The Tigers opened the second half with a small burst, but Puodziukaitis answered with back-to-back dunks and Polk and Bubak combined for an offensive barrage, quickly stretching the lead past 20 once again
- Bubak stayed hot from distance, knocking down another wing three and finishing a fastbreak layup, while the Fighting Knights earned multiple trips to the line to keep Lynn comfortably in front, 75-54
- The Fighting Knights broke the century mark on a series of transition layups from Polk, capped by three straight finishes at the rim as Lynn's pressure defense repeatedly turned stops into easy offense
- With the game in hand, the Lynn bench closed it out in style as Kattan,
Christian Maxon,
Christopher Maxon,
Drew Feinstein,
Artem Ryzhenkin and
Pasa Akan all found the scoring column, highlighted by a deep three from Kattan and an Akan triple in the final minute
- Ryzhenkin and
Chase Troncale added late layups and the Knights' defense forced multiple contested misses down the stretch as Lynn cruised to a 128–73 home victory over Trinity College of Florida
