Gorjup, Rossi claim AVCA All-American honors as Gorjup, Jackson earn regional tournament recognition

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Lynn volleyball standouts Ula Gorjup and Nadia Rossi added another national accolade to their résumés as both were named AVCA NCAA Division II All-Americans (Honorable Mention) by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Wednesday afternoon.

The duo played pivotal roles in guiding the Fighting Knights to a 22-10 overall record, including an NCAA South Regional appearance, while continuing Lynn's tradition as one of Division II volleyball's premier programs.

Gorjup also earned All-South Region Tournament Team honors alongside Brooke Jackson after guiding the Fighting Knights through the NCAA Regional, with both players delivering impactful performances against top postseason competition.

Gorjup directs elite Lynn offense
The sophomore setter anchored one of the most efficient offenses in the Sunshine State Conference and throughout all of Division II. Gorjup finished the season with 981 assists, averaging 10.11 assists per set, while helping Lynn post a team hitting percentage of .244 against a nationally competitive schedule.

Beyond her distribution, Gorjup showcased her well-rounded impact across all phases of the game. She recorded 235 digs (2.42 per set) and totaled 42 blocks, ranking among the team leaders at her position. Gorjup also added 46 service aces on the year, emphasizing her ability to apply pressure from the service line while controlling match tempo from the setter position.

Her consistent orchestration of the Lynn attack and leadership at the net and on the defensive end cemented her place among the nation's top setters.

Rossi leads from the pin
The graduate outside hitter delivered another dominant season on the pins, emerging as Lynn's primary offensive weapon. Rossi led the Fighting Knights with 379 kills, averaging 3.32 kills per set, while hitting .251 against opposing defenses. She totaled 414.5 points, ranking among the top offensive producers in the South Region.

Rossi's all-around impact extended beyond attacking, as she posted 187 digs and added 25 total blocks while maintaining a serve-receive percentage above .900. Her ability to terminate rallies in key moments and handle a heavy workload on the outside made her one of the most complete attackers in Division II.
