BOCA RATON, Fla.- The No. 3-ranked Lynn University women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the young 2025 season to the No. 2-ranked team in NAIA competition, Keiser to a final score of 4-2.
Lynn dropped to 2-1 on the season while Keiser improved to 4-1 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The team of Kristen Younes and Carla Galmiche dropped in first flight doubles (6-4) before Zofia Podbiol and Mia Garber lost in the number three doubles (6-1).
- Salma Djoubri and Mariya Vyshkina were up 5-2 in second flight doubles but were forced to finish early after Keiser clinched the doubles point.
- Djoubri improved to 2-1 in number one singles competition, defeating Violet Apisah, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.
- Galmiche clinched her second win of the season in the second flight, turning back Cato Tangkau, 7-5, 6-4.
- Vyshkina, Younes and Garber all dropped their singles competitions, giving Keiser the 4-2 advantage.
- Podbiol led in the sixth spot over Vanja Vidanovic 6-3, 3-1 but had to wrap up early due to the Seahawks clinching the match win.
