ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.- The third-ranked Lynn University women's tennis team cruised to three quick wins in doubles action en route to a 4-0 shutout of Eckerd, Sunday. The Fighting Knights are now 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the SSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Kristen Younes and Carla Galmiche started doubles with a 6-1 victory over Kylie Misdorp and Fiona Orza in the top flight.
- The pair is now 3-1 in No. 1 doubles this spring
- Zofia Podbiol and Mariya Vyshkina posted a 6-3 win in No. 2 doubles against Catherine Cole and Olivia Lindestaf.
- Podbiol and Vyshkina are 1-0 in doubles.
- Brooke Distasio and Mia Garber rounded out doubles with a 7-5 win over Laura Ullrich and Maialen Idiakezt
- Vyshkina was dominant in her first No. 1 singles competition of 2025, defeating Oliva Lindestaf, 6-4, 6-2.
- Vyshkina is now 3-1 on the year.
- Galmiche improved to a perfect 3-0 in the second flight, cruising past Kylie Misdorp, 6-4, 6-4.
- Younes wrapped up singles competition with a near-sweep in the third flight, defeating Fiona Orza, 6-1, 6-1.
- Garber and Podbiol both led in the fourth and fifth spots, but their matches went unfinished due to the Fighting Knights wrapping things up early.
