MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- In a game that featured just nine total hits, the Lynn University baseball team emerged victorious behind a late-game rally over No. 13 Georgia College on Saturday afternoon, 3-1.

With the win, Lynn improved to 5-5 on the season while avoiding the sweep against Georgia College, who also dropped to 5-5 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first inning set the tone of the matchup early with the Fighting Knights and Bobcats only tallying three total hits in the opening frame.
- Pitcher Ryan DiMaggio dodged trouble early in the second, forcing a clutch groundout standing two runners in scoring position.
- GCSU looked to have an advantage in the bottom of the fourth as the Bobcats got a runner on third following a failed pickoff off attempt with two-outs. However, DiMaggio clutched up once again delivering a massive strikeout to get out of the frame unscathed.
- The matchup remained locked in a stalemate heading into the eighth inning as Jesse Robinson broke up the scoreless drought with an RBI single up the middle to score Bryant Zayas from third, 1-0.
- Lynn continued to rally in the top of the ninth as Leon Paulino reached home on a Georgia College wild pitch to boost the Fighting Knight lead to two, 2-0.
- Following a pitching change, Shawn Dougherty scored another run for the Blue and White in the ninth on a sacrifice fly that brought Cole Fowler home, 3-0.
- Nathan Shane entered the game in the ninth as the Fighting Knights gave up just one run in the final frame before locking down the Bobcats on a double play and a game-winning strikeout, 3-1.

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- DiMaggio shined in his third start for the Fighting Knights, going six innings while allowing just three hits and three walks for no runs. He also fanned five batters.
- Shane recorded his third save of the season while Hunter Shew (2-0) picked up his second win of the year, entering the game in the seventh inning.
- Robinson and Fowler were the only Fighting Knights to record hits in the contest as the pair recorded two knocks apiece.
- Robinson tallied his eighth game of the season with a hit while he has five multi-hit performances on the season.
- Robinson currently leads the team in RBI with nine in 2025 (RBI vs GCSU on Saturday).
