TAMPA, Fla. – Lynn baseball fell at No. 6 Tampa 6-2 Friday night. The Fighting Knights took an early lead but were ultimately out-done by a Spartans five-run fourth inning.
Jesse Robinson and
Cole Fowler maintained their strong performances at the plate this season, each recording multiple hits in the loss.
Lynn is 6-6 overall in 2025 while Tampa is 8-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Robinson went the other way for a double and later scored on Fowler's base hit to give Lynn the lead in the top of the first

Mason Tinsley had runners on second and third in the bottom of the second but recorded a swinging strikeout to maintain the Lynn lead

Blake Mayberry doubled to right-center in the top of the third but was left stranded at third
- A pair of singles led to a Spartans run and tie game through four innings
- Tampa started the bottom of the fourth with a walk, three doubles and a single, leading to five runs

Bryant Zayas hit a one-out double in the top of the eighth and Robinson drove him in to cut the deficit to four
