INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The fourth-ranked Lynn University women's tennis team fell in the first round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Indoor Championships to fifth-ranked Midwestern State in a tight 4-3 match.

The Blue and White march forward, now 4-3 on the year while the Mustangs improved to 5-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Midwestern State clinched the doubles point early, winning both the second and third flights in doubles competition.
- Salma Djoubri put up a fight against sixth-ranked Jessica Binzari in the top spot, ultimately losing in a tight 4-6, 6-4, 3-6 contest.
- Mariya Vyshkina claimed the first point for the Fighting Knights, defeating Hannah Yip, 6-3, 6-2.
- Vyshkina is now 6-1 in singles play while she is a perfect 3-0 playing in the second flight.
- Carla Galmiche racked up the second point for Lynn, knocking down eighth-ranked Sofia Giraldo in a gritty 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 win on court three.
- Galmiche improved to 4-2 in singles competition while the big singles win marked her first victory in the third flight.
- Zofia Podbiol collected the third and final point for the Fighting Knights, downing Sydney Williams in a 6-1, 7-5 win in the number-six spot.
- Podbiol improved to 4-0 on the year with three of those wins coming in the sixth flight.
