BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 10 Lynn University women's lacrosse team delivered a dramatic overtime victory on Wednesday night, defeating No. 12 Embry-Riddle 14-13 in a back-and-forth non-conference thriller.
Angelia Huggins played the hero, scoring the golden goal 1:31 into overtime to keep the Fighting Knights' undefeated start to the 2025 season intact at 4-0. The Blue and White will face the Eagles in Daytona Beach in a conference game to end the season on April 16.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn started strong with early goals from
Rebecca Clark and
Elizabeth Clagett to take a 2-0 lead at 9:46 in the first quarter
- Embry-Riddle responded quickly netting two goals to tie the game at 2-2 two minutes later

Kristyn Johnson and Clark each found the back of the net to restore Lynn's lead to 4-2
- Clagett scored in the final minute of the first quarter to keep Lynn's two-goal advantage, 5-3
- Clagett scored her third goal of the game in the 8-minute mark from an Eagles turnover for a 7-4 lead
- The Eagles tied it up with three minutes left in the half, 7-7
- Clagett closed out the quarter with her fourth goal of the night after an assist from
Angelia Huggins to retake the lead at halftime, 8-7
- In the third, Clagett struck two more times to push Lynn ahead 10-8, but Embry-Riddle battled back to tie it 10-10 before the final frame
- The Eagles took an 11-10 lead early in the fourth and maintained that lead for most of the quarter
- With just 2:35 left Johnson and
Hannah Exley powered Lynn back into a 13-13 deadlock
- In overtime, Clark set up Huggins for the game-winning goal, sealing a thrilling 14-13 win for the Fighting Knights

- Clagett led all scorers with six goals and surpassed her career high of five goals (set 3/30/24 vs. Embry-Riddle)
- Clark recorded six goal contributions with two goals and four assists
