ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Lynn fell to Eckerd in its series opener on Friday night, 6-1. The Fighting Knights scattered six hits, including a double by
Onnalee Floriano.
Quinn Lockhart stole two bases and scored Lynn's lone run on a steal of home during a double steal with
Kyleigh Hope.
Lynn is now 6-8 overall and 0-4 in the SSC while Eckerd is 8-7 and 3-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Tritons loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the first but starting pitcher
Gabriella Lindsey recorded a strikeout, pop out and ground out to escape the jam
- Four consecutive singles led to an Eckerd run in the bottom of the second inning

Kylee Dodson and Hope each singled to start the top of the third
- Lockhart pinch-ran for Dodson and scored on a double steal with Hope to tie the game
- The Tritons scored three runs in the fourth inning to take a 4-1 lead

Kyra Sunga doubled up a runner at second to end the fifth inning after making a catch
- Two hits and two errors led to two more Eckerd runs in the sixth inning
- Three ground outs ended the game for a 6-1 final
