MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Lynn University women's lacrosse team opened its 2025 season in dominant fashion, securing a commanding 21-6 victory at Montevallo on Friday evening.
The Fighting Knights set the tone early and never looked back, starting the season with a 1-0 record.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Friday evenings' 21 scored goals marks the most goals the women's lacrosse team has scored since their 22-10 win against PBA on April 2, 2024
- Lynn raced out to an 8-1 lead in the first quarter that was fueled by
Kristyn Johnson who scored four goals in the run
- The Fighting Knights continued to flex their strong offensive attack in the second quarter, scoring five more goals to take a commanding 13-4 lead heading into halftime
- Lynn's defense stifled Montevallo in the second half, allowing just two goals in the third quarter and no shots allowed in the fourth
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Johnson led the game with five goals scored
- Exley followed just behind with four goals under her belt
