Johnson and Clark combine for eight goals, women’s lacrosse improves to 10-0

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The fourth-ranked Lynn women's lacrosse team continued its dominant start to the season, routing Farmingdale State 18-2 for its tenth win of the year. The Blue and White were led by its two leading scorers in Kristyn Johnson and Rebecca Clark who combined for eight goals in Wednesday afternoon's victory.
 
The Fighting Knights improved to a perfect 10-0 on the year while the Rams fell to 1-4 on the season. Lynn also was ranked fourth in the most recent IWLCA poll for its highest ranking in program history.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Lynn was off to the races early as Kristyn Johnson found Ella Timperio for a quick goal with less than a minute gone in the first period.
  • Johnson tallied a goal of her own just a few minutes later to boost the Blue and White lead to 2-0.
  • Rebecca Clark built Lynn's lead up to three with just over five minutes gone, scoring on a free position shot.
  • Clark picked up her first assist of the contest, finding Johnson for her second goal of the afternoon, 4-0.
  • The Fighting Knights capped off the opening frame with two more goals, including one from Sara Williams and one Hannah Connors (free position) to take a 6-0 lead heading into the second quarter.
  • Clark picked up her second goal of the game at the start of the second period to put Lynn up 7-0.
  • Olivia Fox, Hannah Exley and Johnson (2) all scored goals in rapid succession just minutes into the second quarter to boost Lynn up to an 11-goal lead with 10 minutes left in the half, 11-0.
  • Farmingdale picked up its first goal of the game with minutes to go in the second before Johnson rallied for her fifth strike of the game to give the Blue and White a 12-1 lead heading into the break.
  • Izzy Vieni picked up her first goal of 2025 at the start of the third period, delivering a strike from Taylor Tobin, 13-1.
  • Fox and Heather Titus closed out the third with goals in the final few minutes to give Lynn a 15-1 lead heading into the final period.
  • The Rams struck back with a goal at the start of the fourth quarter to cut the Fighting Knight lead to 13, 15-2.
  • The Blue and White closed out the game with three more goals from Tobin, Clark and Hannah Cissne as Lynn clinched its tenth win of the 2025 season, 18-2.
     
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
  • Johnson has tallied 46 goals this season, recording five against Farmingdale State.
  • She is currently tied for the most goals in Division II this season while she leads the conference in scoring.
  • Clark finished the game with three goals while also putting on a show defensively with five caused turnovers, five ground balls and six draw controls.
  • She currently ranks first in both ground balls per game (4.30) and caused turnover per game (3.20) in the Sunshine State Conference while placing top ten in the nation in both categories.
  • 12 different Fighting Knights recorded goals in the contest.
  • Ava Ceglia picked up her ninth win at goalkeeper this season, recording two saves and allowing one goal in the first half.
  • Holland Swope finished out the game, allowing just one goal with three saves in the second half.

  • The Fighting Knights are set to return back to West Palm Beach next Wednesday, Mar. 26 at 6:00 p.m. to take on Palm Beach Atlantic in a Sunshine State Conference showdown.
