BOCA RATON, Fla.- Senior
Zofia Podbiol paved the way for the Lynn University women's tennis team, clinching a 4-3 victory over Florida Southern on Saturday morning. With the win, the Fighting Knights improved to 8-5 overall and 4-2 in Sunshine State Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- With the match tied up at an even 3-3, Podbiol emerged victorious in a tight-knit 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 (7-1) over Emily Jennewein in the No. 5 spot to give her team the comeback victory
- Podbiol improved to 7-1 in singles action this spring and 4-1 in the number four spot
- Lynn opened the match up by dropping the doubles point, only claiming a win in the first flight

Carla Galmiche and
Kristen Younes defeated Kennedi Brown and Kelly Klaren in No. 1 doubles, 6-3
- The pair now lead the Blue and White with eight wins on the year, all in the top spot
- Along with Podbiol, the collective of
Salma Djoubri,
Mariya Vyshkina and
Carla Galmiche all won their singles contests to seal the victory.
- Djoubri defeated Olivia Bryant in the top singles spot, 6-3, 6-3
- She leads the team in singles victories with an 8-3 record on the year
- Vyshkina picked up the second singles win of the morning, downing Costa Beatriz, 6-2, 6-2
- She improved to 7-3 on the spring with a 4-2 record playing in the second flight
- Galmiche overcame a tough fight in the third flight, beating Ronja Scheuermann 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2)
- Galmiche is now 6-4 in singles competition with a 3-2 record in the third spot
