SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Lynn University men's lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the 2025 season in a closely contested road battle at Dumke Field, falling 7-6 to Westminster University on Monday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The opening period saw both teams trading goals to tie the game at 2-2, with
Leo Letta and
Chase Cavalier scoring the goals for Lynn in the first quarter
- In the second period
Jackson Cutter put Lynn ahead with 10:49 on the clock, 3-2
- Cutter scored his second a few minutes later to maintain a one-goal lead, 4-3
- The halftime score was even 4-4

Mario Leone scored Lynn's fifth goal to keep the game leveled 5-5
- Two late goals from Westminster gave them the lead headed into the fourth quarter.
- In the final period a late strike from Letta narrowed the deficit to 7-6

- Cutter and Letta both scored two goals
- Leon and Letta are tied for top-goal scorers for Lynn with seven goals each
- Cutter assist from this match makes him Lynn's top assister this season so far
