BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University men's lacrosse team used a dominant fourth quarter to close out its home schedule with a 13-10 win over Florida Southern on Saturday afternoon at Bobby Campbell Stadium.
The Fighting Knights scored five unanswered goals in the final eight minutes of play to improve to 9-4 overall and 4-2 in Sunshine State Conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After the Mocs answered with two goals, Lynn tied it at 2-2 with 2:26 left to play in the first on a goal from Conner Zombro
- The two teams traded goals in a back-and-forth second quarter
- The game went into halftime tied at 5-5
- Hoskins and Rini gave Lynn a brief 7-5 lead early in the third before Florida Southern tied things up once again at 7-7
- Lynn fell behind 9-8 midway through the fourth after back-to-back Moccasin goals

Jackson Cutter's solo effort tied the game at 9-9 with 8:04 remaining in the fourth quarter
- Leone scored twice in a span of four minutes to give Lynn an 11-9 lead
- McKinley added a goal off a feed from Rini to make it 12-9 with 1:22 left in the quarter

Edward Downey scored the final Lynn goal with 17 seconds left to seal the victory, 13-10
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Downey scored his first goal in 2025 for the Fighting Knights
- Rini, McKinley, Calleri and Leone all scored two goals each
- Rini and Leone are tied at 15 goals this season
- Hoskins earned a goal and two assists to total three points in the game
- The Fighting Knights had season-highs of 31 shots on goal and 25 clears
- Canedo currently leads Lynn with 30 caused turnovers

Camren Santos won three ground balls bringing his season total to 44
- The Fighting Knights outshot the Mocs 40-36, with 31 of the 40 shots being on goal
- The Blue and White forced their opponents to commit 20 total turnovers
