TAMPA, Fla. - The Lynn University women's lacrosse team suffered a 17-8 defeat to the top-ranked Tampa Spartans in Sunshine State Conference action on Saturday afternoon. This is just the second loss for the Fighting Knights this season as their record stands at 4-2 in the SSC and 14-2 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tampa took the lead early in the first period with a goal at the 13:57 mark

Hannah Exley scored the equalizer exactly four minutes later, 1-1

Elizabeth Clagett scored from a free position to give Lynn the first lead of the game, 2-1
- Tampa scored five uncontested goals to close the period, 6-2
- Lynn scored two goals in the second period

Rebecca Clark struck first with 14:47 on the clock to attempt to reduce the deficit, 6-3
- After two goals scored by the Spartans, Clark assisted
Angelia Huggins in Lynn's fourth goal of the game, 8-4
