SAINT LEO, Fla. – Lynn scored seven runs in the third inning and 13 unanswered to defeat Saint Leo 13-2 on Friday night. The Fighting Knights were once again led by
Cole Fowler, who produced four hits, including a triple and home run, while scoring and driving in three runs.
Blake Mayberry and
Leon Paulino each had three hits in the win, while starting pitcher
Ryan DiMaggio improved to 6-3 after tossing six innings and allowing just one earned run.
Lynn has now won nine games in a row and is 27-14 overall and 16-9 in the SSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lions first four batters reached base safely (walk, three singles) to take a 2-0 lead through one frame
- Lynn exploded for seven runs in the top of the third inning
- Mayberry's single,
Jesse Robinson's hit-by-pitch and Fowler's base hit loaded the bases
- Mayberry scored on a balk and Paulino's sac fly scored Robinson
- After
Shawn Dougherty was beaned,
Juan Carlos Camarena knocked in two runs with a double to left

- Mayberry's second hit of the inning, an opposite-field double, brought home Zayas for a 7-2 Fighting Knight lead
