FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Lynn University softball team opened up the final series of the 2025 regular season, dropping a 9-1 tilt to No. 19 Nova Southeastern on Thursday night. Following the loss, the Fighting Knights dropped to 21-27 overall and 7-21 in Sunshine State Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nova jumped out early, scoring in the bottom of the first on an RBI double to take a 1-0 lead
- The Fighting Knights got in a jam in the bottom of the third, loading the bases before allowing two runs on a pair of sacrifice flies, 3-0

Kyra Sunga picked up the first hit for the Blue and White on a leadoff single in the top of the fourth

Onnalee Floriano broke up the scoreless game for Lynn in the bottom of the fourth, cashing in Sunga from second base on an RBI single, 3-1

Aun'Yale Howard kept the offense rolling with a two-out triple in the top of the fifth
- The Sharks went on to quickly load the bases in the bottom of the sixth before tacking on six runs on four hits to end the game behind the eight-run mercy rule.

Madi Prickett (12-16) went all 5.2 innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits
- She struck out two batters and walked five
- Sunga, Floriano, Howard and
Anabel O'Donnell all tallied hits in the contest
- Floriano has racked up three RBI over the past two games
- O'Donnell has tallied three hits over the past two contests
