ORLANDO, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced its 2025 Men's Cross Country Preseason Coaches Poll, with Lynn projected to finish seventh at the league championship meet in late October.
The Fighting Knights collected 32 points in the poll, placing just behind Nova Southeastern (45 points) in sixth and ahead of Barry and Saint Leo, who tied for eighth with 24 points each.
Defending champion Florida Southern topped the poll with 81 points and nine of the 10 available first-place votes. Tampa (69 points) was picked second, while Embry-Riddle earned 67 points and the final first-place vote to round out the top three.
Last season, Lynn finished seventh at the SSC Championships with 181 points, narrowly missing sixth place by a single point behind Nova Southeastern (180).
The Fighting Knights will open their 2025 campaign at the Keiser Flagship Invitational, hosted at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach on Friday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 a.m.
