HICKORY, N.C. – The Lynn University men's soccer team earned its fourth-straight win of 2025 with a 1-0 road victory over Lenoir-Rhyne on Monday afternoon.
Dominik N'gatie provided the breakthrough off a feed from
Robin Muenst for his third goal in three games.
The Fighting Knights improved to 4-0 overall while posting their third clean sheet of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights generated the first real chance in the 26th minute when
Thiago De Carvalho fired just over the crossbar from distance
- Keeper
Luca Clavero made his first save of the match in the 26th minute that was aimed high

Paul Brauckmann followed up with a shot of his own in the 32nd minute that went out top-left
- Clavero kept things level again in the 37th minute with a diving stop from a shot aimed to the right side

Junior Smith forced a save from the Lenoir-Rhyne keeper in the 41st minute as the first half ended scoreless

Fabian Vyhnalek put in a well-timed through ball to Muenst to which he carried the play into the penalty area
- N'gatie slotted home the game-winner off a perfectly weighted pass from Muenst to put Lynn ahead 1-0 in the 51st minute

Lucas Vila nearly doubled the advantage three minutes later but saw his effort drift just right of goal
- Clavero preserved the shutout with back-to-back saves in the 74th and 77th minutes, denying shots from inside the box
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn has scored seven goal and only conceded so far this season
- N'gatie is the top goal scorer for the Blue and White with three goals in three games
- He leads the team in both shooting percentage (0.429) and SOG% of (0.714)
- Muenst earned his third assist this season
- Junior, Muenst, N'gatie and Brauckmann have a combined 33 shots with 16 on target so far this season
- Clavero made four saves on the day
- Lynn outshot Lenoir-Rhyne 10-9
