Lynn starts conference slate with point in Lakeland

LAKELAND, Fla. – Lynn women's soccer opened SSC play with a 0-0 draw on the road against Florida Southern on Saturday night. Emma Brunelli lowered her season GAA to 0.91 with her second shutout of the season as the Fighting Knights moved to 1-2-3 on the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Brunelli made the first save of the game in the eighth minute
- FSC next three shots went off target before Brunelli made another save in the 29th minute
- Michaela Virgin's shot was off target in the 31st minute
- The Mocs held a 10-1 edge in shots through the first half
- Arianna Kinsley attempted a shot for Lynn five minutes into the second frame
- Brunelli made a low save to keep the match scoreless
- Isabella Humbles deflected a shot that required a diving save from the FSC keeper
- Tyler Vance followed with an off-target shot in the 65th minute
- With less than 10 minutes remaining, Julia Hellencamp's long shot was saved
- Brunelli followed with a save to her left on a shot from just outside the box
- With 5:51 remaining, the match was administratively ruled a complete game after a delay

- Brunelli made five saves and owns an impressive .895 SV% this season
- Brunelli, Juliana Torres and Savannah Larsen all played the entire match
