Second-half surge fuels Lynn comeback win at Rollins

WINTER PARK, Fla.– Lynn University women's basketball delivered a strong finishing kick on Wednesday night, erupting for a dominant fourth quarter to complete a comeback in a 52-45 Sunshine State Conference road win over Rollins. The Fighting Knights held the Tars to just seven points in the final period while closing the game on a 16–7 run to pull away late, secure the victory, and split the season series.

With the win, Lynn improves to 12–8 overall and 6–6 in SSC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rollins scored first, but Danigzy Mantilla answered with a layup to put Lynn on the board early 
- The opening period featured seven ties, with both teams trading baskets before Rollins took a 15–11 lead after one 
- Lynn continued to battle on the glass throughout the second quarter 
- Emily Jean-Glaude opened the second quarter with a basket and completed an and-one to shrink the deficit to one, 15–14 
- Alana Francis connected on a mid-range jumper off a pass from Trinity Mocadlo to spark the offense 
- Mocadlo converted a pair of free throws midway through the period to equalize the score at 18–18 
- After a layup by Katie Tiffan and a free throw from Angelina Deleon, the Blue and White entered halftime trailing 29–21 
- Coming out of the break, the Fighting Knights tightened up defensively and held Rollins to nine points in the third quarter 
- Hannah Wentworth drilled a three-pointer to help Lynn cut the deficit to 29–24 
- Deleon made it a two-point game at the five-minute mark by converting three free throws, 31–29 
- Nearing the end of the period, Dianka Hardisson found Wentworth at the top of the key, where she knocked down a three to keep the game just shy of a tie, 38–36 
- Jean-Glaude opened the final period with back-to-back jumpers, giving Lynn its first lead since the first half, 40–38 
- Lynn went on a decisive eight-point run, highlighted by a three-pointer from Wentworth and strong interior play from Jean-Glaude to extend the lead to 52–43 
- A defensive rebound by Wentworth in the final moments helped secure the 52–45 victory
 
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- The Fighting Knights held Rollins to just 2-of-13 shooting in the fourth quarter 
- Lynn won the rebounding battle, 50–34 
- The Fighting Knights outscored Rollins 25–10 in bench points 
- Wentworth led Lynn with 15 points, knocking down four three-pointers and pulling down seven rebounds 
- Jean-Glaude added 14 points and a personal season-high eight rebounds off the bench 
- Karishma Ortiz contributed six points in just 14 minutes off the bench 
- Deleon pulled down seven rebounds to go along with six points
