SAINT LEO, Fla. – Lynn women's basketball opened 2026 with a 68-60 road win at Saint Leo on Saturday afternoon. The Blue and White made nine 3-pointers in the first half, including five from
Hannah Wentworth, to take a 14-point lead into the break.
Angelina Deleon recorded the first double-double of her career with 13 points and 11 rebounds, and
Trinity Mocadlo scored 12 of her team-high 21 points in the fourth quarter to close out the game.
The Fighting Knights improved to 9-5 overall and 3-3 in Sunshine State Conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wentworth drilled a corner three to start Lynn's scoring
- Mocadlo drove to the paint and found Deleon for a three at the wing to give the Fighting Knights their first lead at 10-9
- Mocadlo and Wentworth hit threes during a 7-0 run for a 17-11 advantage with 2:35 left in the first quarter
- Lynn scored 14 points in the final 3:05 of the first quarter, capped by threes from
Katie Tiffan and Wentworth, to lead 25-20 through 10 minutes
- The Blue and White held the Lions to four points on 7% shooting in the second quarter
- Tiffan and Wentworth made the first two field goals of the second quarter on shots from beyond the arc for a 33-20 Lynn lead
- Mocadlo drove baseline and found a cutting Deleon for a layup to close the first half with a 14-point margin for the visitors, 38-24
- Free throws by
Danigzy Mantilla and
Alana Francis, along with an inside bucket by Tiffan, began the second half with another Lynn run
- Mocadlo deflected a Saint Leo pass that landed in the hands of Wentworth, who found Tiffan for a reverse layup and a 15-point Fighting Knights lead
- An 8-0 Lions run closed the gap to seven and the Blue and White led 48-41 heading into the fourth quarter

Emily Jean-Glaude dished to an open Deleon, who rattled home a three to make the score 51-43
- Free throws by Mocadlo pushed the margin back to double digits

Serena Baker blocked a Lions layup attempt to maintain a 10-point lead with five minutes remaining in regulation
- Baker grabbed an offensive board and made the put-back for a 60-51 score with 2:55 left
- Mocadlo scored five consecutive big points as Lynn broke Saint Leo's press and her left-handed up and under was followed with a three for an 11-point lead
- The Fighting Knights closed the game with a 68-60 win
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Sixteen of Lynn's 22 field goals were assisted, led by five from Mocadlo
- Mocadlo has scored 50 points over her last two games and ranks fourth in the SSC at 15.2 points per game
- Deleon is shooting 47% from the field and 43% from three this season
- Wentworth has made multiple three-pointers in five straight games and ranks second in the SSC with 33 three-point field goals this season
- Five of Baker's eight rebounds were offensive and 32 of her 66 rebounds this season have been on the offensive end
- Tiffan had a team-high two blocks and reached double figures in scoring for the fifth time in 2025-26
- Half of Lynn's field goals were on three-pointers for the second consecutive game – both wins
