OCALA, Fla. - The Lynn University swimming teams turned in another standout performance Thursday at the Sunshine State Conference Championships, highlighted by record-breaking swims, multiple podium finishes, and a strong relay showing on both the men's and women's sides.

Maurice Grabowski stole the spotlight with an SSC Championship meet-record win in the 50 freestyle, while
Mariele De Santis led the women with a podium finish in the 200 individual medley as the Fighting Knights continued to stack points heading into day three in Ocala.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Women):
- The morning session closed with
Eva Stacey taking 13th in the 1000 Freestyle finals, clocking in at 10:27.31
- The women opened Thursday night's finals with the 200 Individual Medley as the Fighting Knights took two spots in the top eight
- De Santis finished in third for a podium finish, clocking in at 2:03.07, to earn her second trip to the podium for the meet

Ally Webster followed closely behind De Santis in fourth, finishing the event at 2:03.67

Malaika Schneider led the way for the Fighting Knights in the 50 Freestyle, taking seventh place at 23.46
- Behind her was
Luz Tapia in ninth (23.71),
Krystina Zavalaga in 10th (23.74) and
Lily Drons in 15th (24.00)
- The Blue and White women closed out Thursday evening with a second place finish in the 200 Medley Relay as
Ala Piascinska, Schneider,
Lydia Douthit and Tapia finished the relay in 1:41.48

HOW IT HAPPENED (Men):

Eli Spivak placed 13th in 1000 Freestyle on Thursday morning, closing out the early session with a 9:26.92 finals time

Max Tsyfarov got things rolling for the Blue and White in the evening session, placing sixth in the 200 Individual Medley (1:49.20)
- Grabowski made SSC Championship and Lynn history, smashing both records with a first-place finish in the 50 Freestyle in 19.26

Enzo Constable also had a strong showing in the 50 Free, finishing fifth (20.00) while
Spencer Hobbs clocked in at 17th (20.65)
- The team of Grabowski, Tsyfarov,
Vitaly Kostin and Constable ended Thursday's festivities in electric fashion, setting the SSC Championship record in the 200 Medley Relay with a first place time of 1:25.19

The Fighting Knights return to the FAST Facility on Friday for day three of the SSC Championships. Friday's events include the 100 Butterfly, 400 Individual Medley, 200 Freestyle and the 400 Medley Relay. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. while the finals kick off at 6 p.m.
