Lynn volleyball Head Coach Adam Milewski accepts position at West Georgia

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Lynn University Athletics announces that head volleyball coach Adam Milewski has accepted the head coaching position at the University of West Georgia, concluding a historic and transformative tenure with the Fighting Knights program.

Hired as the eighth head coach in program history on July 13, 2015, Milewski departs as one of the most accomplished leaders Lynn Volleyball has known. During his time guiding the Blue and White, he built a championship-caliber culture that elevated the program to national prominence while leaving a lasting impact on the Fighting Knights community.

Milewski cemented his place in program history during the 2025 season when he recorded his 200th career victory with a 3-0 win over Florida Southern on November 14. He finishes his Lynn tenure with a 203-100 career record, standing as the winningest coach in program history and the architect of Lynn Volleyball's first national championship in 2024.

Under Milewski's leadership, the Fighting Knights consistently competed among the nation's elite. Lynn recorded six 20-win seasons during his tenure, highlighted by a program-record 33 victories in 2024 and NCAA Regional hosting appearances in both 2019 and 2024. Beginning with the 2019 campaign, the program amassed 152 wins over a six-year span as the most successful stretch in program history.

Individual recognition flourished alongside team success. Milewski mentored 31 All-Sunshine State Conference selections, while 15 student-athletes combined for 19 AVCA All-American honors. Three players also achieved Academic All-American distinction, reflecting the balanced excellence Milewski emphasized both on the court and in the classroom.

Milewski's impact was also recognized at the coaching level. During the historic 2024 campaign, he earned Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year and AVCA South Region Coach of the Year honors while leading Lynn to its second conference championship of his tenure.

His connection to Lynn Volleyball predates his time as head coach. Milewski served three seasons as an assistant, helping guide the Fighting Knights to a 21-win NCAA Tournament appearance in 2010 while developing middle blockers who earned consecutive All-SSC honors.

Beyond wins and accolades, Milewski fostered a culture of accountability, growth, and pride that will continue to shape the program's future. His influence extended throughout the department and campus community, where he was widely respected for his passion, professionalism, and commitment to student-athlete development.

"Coach Milewski has been a tremendous asset to Lynn University Volleyball," said Director of Athletics Kathy Kroupa. "His all-time wins record and first-ever volleyball national championship are a testament to his impact here. I'm excited for Adam and his family as they embark on this new chapter, and I know he will do an incredible job at West Georgia."

Lynn University Athletics thanks Milewski for his years of service and celebrates the championship legacy he leaves behind. A national title, historic milestones, and a culture of excellence will remain cornerstones of Fighting Knights Volleyball because of his leadership.

A national search for Lynn's next head volleyball coach will begin immediately.
