BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Lynn University baseball team delivered a statement performance on Sunday afternoon, sweeping Georgian Court in a home doubleheader behind a relentless offensive showing and strong pitching.

Jason Lashley headlined the day by hitting for the cycle with a historic six hits in the nightcap, as the Fighting Knights combined for 35 runs on 37 hits across the two games, opening the series with a 9-3 win before erupting for a 26-3 victory in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1):

Ryan DiMaggio worked a clean top of the first, striking out a pair as Georgian Court went down in order
- The Fighting Knights put two aboard in the bottom of the first with singles from
Justin Lopez and
Bryant Zayas, but the Lions escaped without damage
- Lynn broke through in the second inning, scoring three runs as
Amaris Harrison delivered an RBI groundout,
Jackson Tyer knocked in a run with a single, and Lopez capped the inning with an RBI hit to make it 3-0
- Georgian Court responded in the third, capitalizing on a hit batter and a Lynn error before a sacrifice fly trimmed the lead to 3-2
- The Lions evened the score in the fourth on a solo home run, tying the game at 3-3
- Lynn reclaimed the lead in the fifth when
Scout Simpson launched a solo homer to right field, putting the Blue and White back in front 4-3
- The bullpen held Georgian Court scoreless over the next two innings to preserve the one-run edge
- Lynn added breathing room in the sixth, using a hit-by-pitch, wild pitch, and
Ivan Herrera sacrifice fly before Tyer crushed a two-run homer to extend the lead to 7-3

- The Fighting Knights added to the lead in the second as
Jason Lashley launched a solo home run to make it 7-0
- Lynn continued to pour it on in the third, as
Justin Lopez blasted a two-run homer and a throwing error allowed another run to score, pushing the advantage to 10-0
- Georgian Court threatened in the fourth with a pair of hits, but Lynn's defense stranded runners and kept the Lions off the board
- After the Lions loaded the bases in the fifth, Lynn escaped unscathed and responded with a massive eight-run bottom half, featuring a three-RBI triple from Lashley, an RBI single from
Joel Tapia-Melo, and an RBI knock by
Bruce Thornton to stretch the lead to 18-0
- Lynn struck again in the sixth, scoring six more runs as
Cole Beck crushed a three-run homer and the Blue and White capitalized on wild pitches and extra-base hits to go ahead 24-0

- Georgian Court finally broke through in the eighth on a solo home run, but Lynn answered defensively to limit further damage

- Lynn erupted for 26 runs, marking the most runs scored by the Fighting Knights since 2023, when Lynn plated 25 against Adelphi on March 13, 2023
