BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn women's basketball climbed above .500 in conference play with a commanding 73-63 home win over Barry on Saturday afternoon.
Trinity Mocadlo led the Blue and White with 24 points, while
Emily Jean-Glaude and
Hannah Wentworth chipped in 12 points each.
With two conference wins this week, the Fighting Knights are now 14-9 overall and 8-7 in Sunshine State Conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bucs led 4-0, but baskets by
Karishma Ortiz and
Alana Francis tied the game

Angelina Deleon's steal and layup brought Lynn within one, 12-11, with 3:16 remaining in the first quarter
- Mocadlo tied the game at 14 with a three-pointer before Barry made the final field goal of the quarter to take a two-point lead through 10 minutes
- Mocadlo gave the Fighting Knights their first lead, 17-16, to start the second period
- Jean-Glaude scored four points during a 6-0 Lynn run for a 23-19 advantage
- An inside basket and three-pointer by
Katie Tiffan gave the Fighting Knights a six-point lead with three minutes left in the first half
- The Bucs closed the gap to two points, 35-33, just over a minute into the second half
- Jean-Glaude capped off a 7-0 Fighting Knight run with a jumper to give Lynn a double-digit lead, 45-35
- Wentworth's shot from beyond the arc gave the Blue and White a 13-point lead, 55-42
- Ortiz later pushed the margin to 14 with an offensive rebound and put-back
- The Buccaneers closed the gap to seven, but free throws by Ortiz ended the game with a 73-63 Fighting Knight victory
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Nineteen of Lynn's 25 field goals were assisted, led by six from Wentworth
- The Fighting Knights held a 38-31 advantage in total rebounds
- The Blue and White made 10 more free throws than Barry (14-4)
- Lynn outscored Barry 59-47 over the final three quarters, shooting 53% over the stretch
- Mocadlo scored a game-high 24 points and has scored 20-plus points six times over her last 11 contests
- Jean-Glaude was a rebound shy of her third consecutive double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds
- Francis is 6-for-7 from the field over her last two games
- Tiffan had a career-high three blocks
- Wentworth went 4-for-11 from three and ranks third in program history in single-season threes made (61) and tied for first in three-point attempts (204)
- Lynn tied the 2012-13 team for second on the single-season three-point field goals made list with 172 and is 12 shy of the 2022-23 record of 184
- Lynn posted two of its three highest field goal percentages of the season this week (shot 49.2% in an 84-68 win over Saint Leo on Feb. 4 and 47.2% in the 73-63 win today)
- The Fighting Knights are 7-3 over their last 10 games against the Bucs
