Fighting Knights roll past Palm Beach Atlantic in 7-0 road victory

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The No. 20 Lynn University women's tennis team continued its strong start to the 2026 season on Monday afternoon, sweeping Palm Beach Atlantic, 7-0,  in the Fighting Knights' second match of the year.

Lynn improved to 2-0 on the season, delivering another complete performance by securing the doubles point and winning all six singles matches to close the shutout against the Sailfish.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights set the tone early, sweeping all three doubles flights to grab the opening point 
- In the No. 2 doubles position, Lia Mosimann and Meadow Garcia were the first to finish, rolling to a 6-0 victory over Virginia Borja and Anarella Brito 
Carla Galmiche and Kristen Younes followed with a convincing 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles against Alina Hoermann and Valeria Lopez 
Salma Djoubri and Lea Cakarevic completed doubles play with a 6-2 decision in the third flight over Elisa Buhagiar and Mia Garber 
- Lynn carried its momentum into singles, winning all six matches in straight sets or via match tiebreak to secure the sweep 
- Djoubri opened singles play at No. 1, shutting out Hoermann in the first set and closing out a 6-0, 6-1 win 
- Younes was flawless at No. 2 singles, posting a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory over Borja 
- Garcia earned a competitive win in the third flight, defeating Garber 6-4, 6-3 
- Galmiche followed with a steady 6-3, 6-3 result at No. 4 singles against Buhagiar 
- In the fifth flight, Cakarevic rebounded after a tight first set to defeat Lopez 5-7, 6-2, and then took the match tiebreak, 10-6 
- Mosimann capped the afternoon with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles over Brito

- Lynn returns home on Wednesday, Feb. 11 to host No.1 Barry at 2:00 p.m.
