BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Lynn University women's lacrosse team delivered an offensive showcase on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Alabama Huntsville, 20-8, to improve to 5-2 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Angelia Huggins opened the scoring just 41 seconds into the contest with a free-position goal to give Lynn an early 1-0 lead

Rebecca Clark followed with a goal off a Huggins assist, before
Hannah Exley struck twice in just over a minute, extending the Fighting Knights' advantage to 4-0
- Alabama Huntsville answered with back-to-back goals midway through the first quarter to cut the deficit to 4-2

Olivia Fox responded for Lynn with a goal off an Exley assist, sparking a five-goal run at the 5:27 mark
- Huggins,
Ella Timperio, and
Elizabeth Clagett each found the net during the stretch as Lynn closed the first quarter ahead 9-2 with a minute left in the period
- The Chargers opened the second quarter with a goal, but
Sara Williams quickly answered off a Clark assist to restore a seven-goal margin, 10-3
- Lynn headed into halftime with a commanding 14-4 lead
- UAH mounted a brief push in the third quarter, scoring four unanswered goals to trim the deficit to 14-8
- Huggins halted the run with a man-up goal late in the period, 15-8

Madison Smith followed with a free-position score to push the lead to 16-8 heading into the fourth
- Lunardi opened the final frame with a free-position goal before
Hannah Connors finished a Clagett assist to extend the margin to 18-8
- Clagett added a goal of her own midway through the quarter after
Emily Solomon won the draw control with just under five minutes left to play, 19-8

Camryn Spiller capped the scoring with a strike off another Clagett assist to seal the 20-8 victory
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Huggins led the offense with four goals and three assists for seven points
- Clagett recorded six points on two goals and four assists
- She also collected three ground balls, caused three turnovers and won a season-high eight draw controls
- Stewart, Exley, and Lunardi scored two goals each for the Fighting Knights
- Smith finished with three points on a goal and two assists, while Fox contributed a goal and two assists
- Lynn had 13 different goal scorers and 13 total assists in the balanced offensive effort
- The Blue and White held advantages in shots (32-15), ground balls (13-11), and draw controls (20-9)
The Fighting Knights will host the Montevallo Falcons on Saturday, March 21 at 5:00 p.m.
