JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Lynn University men's lacrosse team rallied from an early deficit and held a late lead but ultimately fell just short in a 16-15 setback against North Greenville on Saturday afternoon at Jacksonville University.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams opened the contest with early chances that sailed wide before North Greenville built a quick 2–0 advantage

Mario Leone put Lynn on the board at the 6:16 mark of the first quarter, cutting the deficit to 2–1
- North Greenville answered with three unanswered goals late in the period to extend its lead to 5–1

Dom Veratti closed the quarter with 1:09 remaining, finishing a pass from
Riley Knox to make the score 5–2
- North Greenville pushed the margin to 6–2 early in the second before Veratti struck again at 10:20 to trim the deficit

Noah Miles netted his first collegiate goal at the 7:33 mark off a feed from
Matt Evans, bringing Lynn within two

Michael Evans added a solo goal with 6:08 left in the half to keep the Fighting Knights within striking distance at 7–5
- Evans scored again moments later, and Veratti converted a Leone assist to tie the contest at 7–7
- North Greenville responded with two late goals to take a 9–7 lead into halftime
- Lynn came out strong in the third quarter as Veratti and
Mitch Rini scored on assists from Evans and
Jackson Cutter, evening the score at 9–9
- Leone gave Lynn its first lead of the day with a solo goal at 9:26, making it 10–9
- Evans recorded his third goal of the game off a Rini assist with 2:09 remaining in the quarter to push the lead to 11–10
- Knox then scored off a Veratti assist to spark a three-goal run for the Blue and White, extending the lead to 12–11
- Evans added another goal on a man-up opportunity, pushing the advantage to 13–11

Landon Scully netted his first collegiate goal with nine seconds left in the third quarter to give Lynn a 14–11 lead
- Scully struck again early in the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 15–12 with 12:01 remaining
- North Greenville responded with a late four-goal run in the final minutes to secure the 16–15 victory
