WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Lynn University men's lacrosse team showed resilience and offensive flashes on the road but ultimately fell 17-8 to Rollins College in Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rollins opened the scoring with back-to-back goals before
Mario Leone and
Landon Scully responded with consecutive strikes to even the game at 2-2 in the first quarter
- After Rollins regained a 3-2 edge, Lynn continued to push offensively, finishing the opening period within one

Mitch Rini got on the board early in the second quarter, followed by
Dom Veratti, cutting the deficit to 6-4 midway through the period
- The Tars used a late run in the second quarter to extend their lead to 8-4 heading into halftime
- Rollins carried momentum into the third quarter, building a 12-4 advantage before Lynn answered

Riley Knox capitalized on a Veratti assist to spark a Lynn run, followed by goals from Rini and Veratti to close the gap to 13-7
- Rini completed his hat trick early in the fourth quarter, trimming the deficit to 13-8 as Lynn continued to battle
- Despite the push, Rollins closed the game on a 4-0 run to secure the conference victory, 17-8
