TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 15 Lynn University women's tennis team secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over the University of Tampa in a Sunshine State Conference matchup on Friday afternoon.
With the win, the Fighting Knights improve to 9-6 overall and 3-3 in SSC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Blue and White jumped out to an early advantage in doubles play, earning wins on courts one and two to claim the doubles point
- Younes extended the lead in singles, earning a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles for Lynn's second point
- Garcia delivered another key result at No. 3 singles, winning 6-0, 6-1 to put the Fighting Knights one point away from victory
- Cakarevic clinched the match at No. 5 singles, battling to a 7-6 first-set win before sealing the 6-2 second set to secure the 4-3 victory
