BOCA RATON, Fla. - The No. 12 Lynn University women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on Friday afternoon, defeating the Eckerd College Tritons, 6-1, at the Perper Tennis Complex in Sunshine State Conference play.
With the win, the Fighting Knights improve to 10-6 overall and 4-3 in the SSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles flights to secure the doubles point and a 1-0 lead
- Djoubri extended the lead in singles play with a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles
- Younes followed with a strong 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles to put Lynn in control
- Galmiche added another point with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the third flight
- Garcia cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles
- Lizano battled to a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles to cap the victory
