Fighting Knights drop road contest at No. 7 Lewis

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lynn University men's lacrosse team battled against No. 7 Lewis University on Saturday afternoon, falling 22-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
- Lewis 
jumped to an early 6-0 advantage in the first quarter 
- Ian Evans got the Fighting Knights on the board with an unassisted goal late in the first period
 
- Lewis extended their lead throughout the second quarter to take a 13-1 advantage into halftime
 
- Cale Maguire started Lynn's late offensive surge with an unassisted goal early in the fourth period
 
- Matt Evans followed with a goal with 4:24 left in the fourth
 
- Michael Evans added a fourth goal for the Blue and White another off an assist from Noah Miles
 
- Miles found the back of the net himself with two minutes left in the game
 
- Micheal Evans capped the scoring with his second goal of the game off a feed from Matt Evans in the final thirty seconds of play


FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:

- Micheal Evans led Lynn with two goals
- Miles recorded two points with a goal and an assist
- Matt Evans finished with a goal and an assist
- Ian Evans and Maguire each added a goal
- Hunter Klosterman made 12 saves in goal for the Fighting Knights
Ke'Von Day added one save in relief
- Jack McKay led the faceoff unit with nine wins and five ground balls
